MODUS Consult commits to youth soccer

MODUS Consult has sponsored a set of soccer shirts for the D1 youth of V.f.L. Rheda.

The boys, trained by Klaus Heveling and Jürgen Bringezu, have largely played together since mini soccer times and have become really good as a team. Most of the boys have played together since 2001 – which has proven to be a good thing. The soccer players can proudly look back at their row of successes: Between 2002 and 2006, they were first in their group and, during that time, won an incredible 54 matches out of 56, had one standoff and were defeated only once. In the last year during the championship games in the second 'Kreisklasse', they fought as the youngest soccer team and achieved third place through technically well-played soccer.

During the qualification games for the championship 2008/2009, the D1 has easily moved up to the first 'Kreisklasse'. The most recent 4:0 win against the D1 of SC Preußen Münster at a crowded indoor tournament in Neubeckum has proven the team's quality. The V.f.L. Rheda with its club house in the Fürst-Bentheim-Straße 58, next to the Einstein college, was founded in 1957 and is especially active in training the youth. Much importance is placed on a 'feel-good' atmosphere, created by the personal effort of all people involved, whether they are volunteer coaches or players. With 12 youth teams, 2 men's and 1 'old men's' team, soccer is an integral part of Rheda-Wiedenbrück's town life. This year is the year of the big remodeling of the soccer field – changing the ground from natural to artificial grass. After that, the V.f.L. Rheda will also be able to train in the evening hours at floodlight. Due to the enormous growth in members, space problems will still not be solved then - but at least a bit alleviated.
